# Where to buy a pre-owned Rolex in London

London is the largest pre-owned Rolex market in Europe, and that is both the opportunity and the problem. There is more stock here than anywhere else in the UK, but there is also more grey-market inventory, more re-cased and re-dialled pieces, and more dealers who have never opened the watch they are selling you.

This guide sets out where the market actually sits in 2026, what you should expect to pay, and the checks that separate a good purchase from an expensive lesson.

## The three types of London seller

**Authorised dealers.** Bond Street, Knightsbridge and the Royal Exchange. New stock only, at list price, with waiting lists on steel sports models that run into years. Excellent if you want a Datejust in a common configuration and do not mind waiting; largely irrelevant if you want a Submariner this month.

**Pre-owned specialists.** Independents who buy, authenticate and sell second hand pieces. Stock is immediate, discontinued references are available, and prices reflect the market rather than a list. Quality varies enormously — the good ones inspect in-house, the rest simply flip.

**Online marketplaces.** The widest choice and the weakest protection. You are buying a listing, not a relationship, and authentication is only as good as the individual seller.

## What you should actually pay

Pre-owned pricing on Rolex is driven by four things: reference, year, condition, and completeness. In rough terms:
